Not eligible for rooftop solar

Rooftop solar isn’t the right fit, but you can still save.

Rooftop systems need the property owner’s permission and a suitable roof.

Balcony solar (a plug-in panel up to 800 W) can still cut your bill, often with no permission from the landlord needed. Want our free guide?

Questions

The short answers.

How can solar “pay” my bill?

Your panels produce electricity during the day, which you use instead of buying from the grid. Any surplus is sold back. With financing, the monthly payment is often lower than the savings, so the system pays for itself from day one.

What if I rent?

Rooftop solar needs the owner’s approval. Renters can still save with plug-in balcony solar, and we’ll send you a free guide.

Does my roof have to face south?

No. East/west roofs work well too and produce more evenly through the day. North-facing or heavily shaded roofs are usually less suitable.

How long does installation take?

Usually 1–2 days on site, after a free roof plan and your approval.
